The Mad Housers - Donations and Merchandise

Shelters aren't built out of good intentions alone! The Mad Housers is an all-volunteer organization, so even a small donation goes a long way towards helping someone have a warm, safe place.

Monetary Donations

Monetary donations can either be sent to our mailing address or made online via Paypal.

For reference, a hut costs about $450 with all new materials, and a Low Rider runs about $350. With donated and reused materials, we can drop those costs even further, of course. Every bit counts!

Materials Donations

The Mad Housers will gladly accept donations of materials. Always on our wish list:

2x4s
Plywood, 3/8"-3/4" thickness
1/2" sheet insulation
Nails - 16, 8 and 6 penny.
Roll roofing, roofing tacks
Doors and hinges (solid core doors only, please)
Hammers, saws, tape measures, string lines, and other carpentry tools
Firewood
Caulking materials
Industrial garbage bags
Used Cell phones - no plan needed, they just need to hold a charge

Remember: your donations, whether material or money, are tax-deductable. Please include your address with any donation for your receipt.

Mad Housers Merchandise

Mad Houser Tee Shirts - bold, snappy, and 100% cotton. Medium, Large, or Extra Large, they're a bargain at $18. To order, send a check or money order to our mailing address, or make an online donation and specify that you'd like a tee.

Affinity Card

Support the Housers while you shop! For every purchase made with a Mad Housers VISA affinity card, the Housers gets a donation ranging from one to ten percent of the purchase price. It's a painless and easy way to support the Housers. And check out the snappy card!
